Resume examples for every career stage
Real resume structures for six common roles in India — what sections to use, what to write, and which template fits best.
A resume example is most useful when it shows you the structure, not the exact words. Every role has a different section order, a different emphasis, and different metrics that matter. Below are six role-specific blueprints you can follow in the ThunderCV editor.
Fresher / campus placement
Summary → Education → Projects → Skills → Certifications
- •Lead with CGPA if above 7.0
- •Two to four projects with tech stack and outcome
- •Skip the objective statement — use a two-line summary
- •One page, single column, standard headings
Recommended template: Fresher
Software engineer (2–5 years)
Summary → Work Experience → Projects → Skills → Education
- •Quantify impact: "Reduced API latency by 40% serving 2M requests/day"
- •List tech stack per role, not in a separate section
- •Include open-source contributions or side projects if notable
- •Name the products you shipped, not just the technologies
Recommended template: Tech
